EarthData International (formerly Photo Science, Inc.) - Represent Gaithersburg, MD based geospatial information services firm on Capitol Hill. Have secured Congressional appropriations and transportation bill language designating $7.5 million for a GIS project for Washington, DC.

Meyer & Associates, Inc. - Won Congressional approval of $200,000 appropriation for a regional economic development master plan promoted by the engineering, planning, design & construction management firm.

Western Federation of Professional Surveyors - Started Washington government relations program for coalition of 12 state professional societies in the west.

Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors - Serve as first paid Executive Director with responsibility for total management of the association, including finance & administration, serving President and Board of Directors, membership development, marketing, meeting planning, government affairs, public relations, and publications. Council on Federal Procurement of Architectural/Engineering Services - Serve as Administrator for a coalition of five leading national design professional societies (AIA, ACSM, ASCE, NSPE and MAPPS) to coordinate their common and focused policy interests related to Federal procurement policy. Responsibility for total management of the council, including finance & administration, serving Chairman and Board of Delegates, coordinate procurement-related policy activities of the government affairs staffs of the five member societies, plan a semiannual public-private policy forum, track legislation and policy initiatives, develop legislative proposals, draft comments, letters and testimony for Congress and Federal agencies. www.cofpaes.org

Navionics, Inc., C-Map, Inc., Navigational Electronic Chart Systems Association - Provided consulting services to firms and an organization in the electronic nautical chart industry to break up a government created monopoly. Developed and implemented a government affairs strategy, wrote an advocacy white paper, arranged meetings with Federal agencies, Congress and the White House. Worked to achieve a Commerce Department Inspector General's report in support of the client's position and a change in Federal policy that resulted in termination of the monopoly.

The Survey Association (TSA) - John M.
